Chanukah in the Park is back!

The Wellington Jewish community’s biggest public event of the year, Chanukah in the Park is on again.

Following the enormous success of last year’s event, we have made Midland Park the permanent home for this celebration. We will have even more food this year along with stalls, klezmer music, Israeli dancing, face painting and lots of other activities.

Channukah in the Park will take place in Midland Park, Lambton Quay, from 5 to 7 pm on Monday 14 December, the last day of Chanukah.

This is a fun event for everyone so encourage your friends to take a break from end-of-year shopping and parties and to stop by.

Last year’s event would not have been possible without the efforts of many wonderful volunteers and again we would love to have as many helpers as we can. If you are able to help with setting up, running stalls and events or with the unglamorous, but vital, clean-up, please contact dgeidelberg@gmail.com or 021 0224 6770.

We’ll have more details on the event on the WJCC Facebook page over coming weeks.

Chanukah in the Park is brought to you by the Wellington Jewish Community Centre, Temple Sinai and the Embassy of Israel, with support from the Wellington City Council.
